The remote Ardnamurchan
Peninsula is the most Westerly point on the Scottish mainland and a
peaceful and almost untouched area it is, with single track roads with
very little on them but sheep. It’s reached by a short ferry journey
from Mull and from there to Mallaig we travel the "Road to the Isles,"
beautiful views abound on this trip, not least the awesome Cuillin Mountain
range on Skye. The little ferry from Mallaig to Armadale is Skye’s last
ferry link to the mainland after the linking of the north of the island
via "the hated bridge."
