Not
everybody who visits Scotland, the home of golf, will know a lot about
the North, yet this area has some excellent courses, including Royal
Dornoch, one of the World’s oldest golf clubs, voted 13th best in the
World.
When
Ben Crenshaw first played Dornoch as a warm up for an Open Championship
he liked it so much he "nearly never went back to Muirfield" for the
Open.

There’s
Nairn, host to the 1999 Walker Cup Amateur Championship between the
U.S.A. and Europe and the Speyside courses, where you can play superb
golf and visit a host of whisky distilleries.
