Glencloy Farmhouse is a beautiful honey coloured, 19th century sandstone house, perfectly placed at the head of a peaceful Glen on the edge of the small port of Brodick where the main island ferry lands.

There are lovely views of rolling hills and sea from the farmhouse which is situated in an exceptionally pretty garden.

Mark and Vicki's tastefully decorated home has offered a warm welcome with wonderful hospitality for the last fifteen years.

Food is of prime importance at Glencloy and free-range eggs, home produced jams and bottled fruit, home baked bread, muffins and cakes all appear on the hearty breakfast menu. Glen Cloy also offers a traditional farmhouse afternoon tea for guests.

There are a number of good restaurants an easy walk away for evening meals.

The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and along with all the usual facilities you would expect from a good quality guest house, you'll find slabs of the home made shortbread with your tea and coffee. All the bedrooms have views of the quiet glen.

There's an extensive collection of books to enjoy in the large cosy drawing room, perhaps over a cup of hot chocolate before bed.

The variety of wildlife on Arran is outstanding - seals, cormorants, gannets and eider ducks are easy to spot on coastal walks and red deer, red squirrels, golden eagles (two breeding pairs nearby), buzzards and hen harriers are some of the birds and animals you can see in and around Glen Cloy.

There are seven golf courses on Arran and Brodick golf course which is only a short walk away, wraps itself around beautiful Brodick Bay with the island's highest mountain, Goatfell, towering to nearly 3,000 feet away behind the course. Certainly one of the most beautifully situated courses in Scotland.

Bed and breakfast in an en-suite room £26.00 per person . Farmhouse afternoon tea £6.75 per person.
